Accela Developer

Contract Duration: Multi-year (up to 5 years)

Location: Remote (Occasional onsite meetings in Seattle)

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) seeks a seasoned Accela Developer to support and enhance the City's enterprise-wide Accela Automation platform. You'll work as part of the Permitting System Extra Capacity Team, maintaining and developing core platform features and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and customize the Accela platform: scripting, expressions, standard choices, page flows, and user roles
  • Maintain and enhance integrations with third-party tools including Bluebeam, ESRI ArcGIS, and MSSQL systems
  • Develop reports, database views, and stored procedures using SSRS and SQL Server
  • Package and deploy both scheduled and off-cycle Accela releases
  • Maintain documentation, inline code commentary, and ensure all work aligns with SDOT and City of Seattle development standards
  • Collaborate closely with QA and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with Accela Automation and Accela Citizen Access (ACA)
  • 3+ years of Accela experience within a municipal or transportation agency
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SSRS, MSSQL, and database development
