Job description

Senior Executive Coach

Crowned Grace International (CGITL) seeks Senior Executive Coaches to play a crucial role in shaping federal leadership at the highest levels. These coaches will deliver confidential one-on-one and team coaching to the most senior leaders in federal government agencies, including Senior Executive Service members, Political Appointees, General and Flag Officers, and C-suite executives. This level is deployed where the stakes are highest: leaders in high-consequence, high-visibility roles, executives navigating significant organizational change, and situations where the gap between a leader's intent and their reputation carries organizational risk. Senior Executive Coaches also serve as escalation points for engagements requiring reassignment and mentor coaches at lower levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake sessions to establish the coaching process, define goals and objectives, clarify expectations-including scope and boundaries-and establish the coaching relationship.
  • Deliver sixty-minute confidential one-on-one coaching sessions, preparing for each by reviewing the prior session record, the client's development plan, and assessment results to ensure clients feel supported and understood.
  • Deliver team coaching to executive leadership groups, including team effectiveness diagnostics, leadership alignment sessions, and facilitated work on decision rights, communication norms, collaboration, and conflict resolution to foster a sense of collective progress.
  • Administer and interpret leadership assessments, conduct debriefs, and translate findings into coaching objectives and written individual development plans.
  • Set specific action steps with each client and hold the client accountable for reporting back before or during the following session.
  • Maintain accurate session records, attendance, and delivered hours in the CGINTL coaching platform within the timeframe required by the engagement, and regularly update progress reports for stakeholders. Execute coaching agreements incorporating all client-required provisions before the first session.
  • Conduct closeout, including final reflection, sustainability planning, and integration action planning.
  • Support coach matching by participating in chemistry calls and accepting reassignment where a different coach is the better fit.
  • Serve as an escalation resource on quality concerns and, as assigned, mentor Executive Coach I and II personnel.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher.
  • ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential in current standing; proof required at onboarding and at each renewal.
  • ICF or MCC coaching certification and training in organizational development, organizational change management, psychology, and coaching.
  • Certification in at least one 360-degree feedback instrument - EQ 360 or Hogan 360 preferred and maintained at the coach's own expense.
  • Fifteen or more years of management consulting experience with government or private sector clients on mid-size to large complex projects.
  • Two hundred documented hours of coach-specific training.
  • A minimum of 2,500 hours of coaching experience.
  • A minimum of 35 coaching clients.
  • Documented passage of the three-part International Coaching Federation examination.

PREFERRED Qualifications

  • Certification in Hogan Leadership Forecast Series, EQ-i 2.0, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Everything DISC, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, TotalSDI, Denison Organizational Culture Survey, FIRO-B.
  • Familiarity with OPM Executive Core Qualifications and Federal executive development requirements under 5 CFR Part 412.
  • ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential in current standing; proof required at onboarding and at each renewal.
