Job description

The preferred location is Vienna; however, applications from Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, Slovakia, Croatia, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom are welcome, provided candidates are willing to relocate to Viennaand able to travel.

Purpose of the Role

The Global Leadership Development Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving an integrated, enterprise-wide leadership development and assessment strategy that builds a robust leadership pipeline aligned to Mondi´s long-term business strategy, and ensures the high-quality design, delivery, and facilitation of leadership development experiences.

This role will establish global standards while enabling regional flexibility, ensuring leadership capability, succession strength, and cultural innovation and alignment across all markets and leadership levels, including playing a key role in shaping Mondi’s global coaching and mentoring ecosystem and supporting leaders in driving effective change through structured change management methodologies.It is a role with abalancedfocus on bothstrategy and execution.

Core Responsibilities
  • Define and own a global leadership philosophy and competency framework aligned to business strategy, values, and future capability needs.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear leadership standards and behaviours across executive, senior, mid‑level, and emerging leaders.
  • Design, scale, and continuously evolve a global portfolio of leadership development solutions,leveraginglearning innovation and ensuring tight integration across the HR value chain, from talent identification to succession and performance.
  • Lead global leadership assessment and succession approaches, ensuring data‑driven decisions for development, promotion, and bench strength.
  • Establish leadership capability metrics and insights to track impact, readiness, diversity outcomes, and ROI.
  • Embed inclusive, values-based leadership behaviours and strengthen leadership capability during major transformation and change.
  • Set global governance, standards, and external partnerships while enabling regions with clear frameworks and local flexibility.
Our requirements:
  • 12+ years’ experience in leadership development, talent, or organisational development within large, complex, multinational environments.
  • Proven ability to design, scale, and deliver global leadership development portfolios, grounded in the 70/20/10 learning approach.
  • Strong expertise in executive assessment, succession planning, and high‑potential development.
  • Hands‑on facilitator with experience delivering impactful leadership programmes and experiential learning across regions and seniority levels.
  • Credible, trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners, with the ability to challenge and influence at all seniority levels.
  • Deep knowledge of leadership theory, adult learning, assessment methodologies, and psychometrics, applied pragmatically to business needs.
  • Strategic, commercially astute systems thinker with a global mindset, comfortable leading in ambiguity and change.
  • Manufacturing background preferred withan exposuretoLeanand Integrated WorkingSystems(IWS)/IWSexperiencedesired.
  • Experience working internationally
Languages:
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • German is highly preferred; knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.
Education:
  • Degree in Psychology, HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Accreditation in recognised psychometric and assessment tools is desirable.
  • Executive coaching qualification is advantageous.
