This position serves as the primary on-shift support contact for manufacturing systems issues impacting production, with a focus on rapid response, clear escalation, reliable documentation, and operational continuity.
The role supports MES, D365 integrations, supply chain, quality, warehouse, endpoint, and shop floor technology needs while providing general IT support during the assigned shift when manufacturing priorities allow.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-shift support contact for MES, D365 integrations, shop floor devices, warehouse systems, quality systems, and related manufacturing applications.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate application, infrastructure, integration, and device issues based on production impact and defined support procedures.
  • Support endpoint and shop floor technology, including PCs, HMIs, scanners, label printers, industrial workstations, and network-connected manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform identity and access management activities across Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, and manufacturing systems in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Follow IT governance, cybersecurity, and SOX ITGC procedures, including timely documentation and audit evidence support where required.
  • Document incidents, root cause, resolution steps, and escalation actions in the IT service management system with clear, reusable detail.
  • Execute and improve runbooks, support procedures, monitoring checks, and routine maintenance activities to strengthen system reliability.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, IT teams, and external vendors to resolve complex issues and support approved system changes.
  • Provide general IT helpdesk support during the assigned shift while maintaining priority focus on manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Three or more years of IT support experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or other production-critical environment.
  • Experience supporting MES, ERP integrations, manufacturing applications, or comparable shop floor systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure, endpoints, integrations, and shop floor devices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, Azure Entra ID, and Active Directory.
  • Ability to triage and resolve high-impact production issues under time pressure while communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience documenting incidents, resolution steps, escalation actions, and knowledge articles in an IT service management system or similar tool.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, runbooks, change controls, and escalation protocols.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment on the designated 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.
  • Ability to respond to critical production incidents outside normal shift hours when required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience with IT/OT environments, network connectivity troubleshooting, segmentation concepts, and manufacturing infrastructure support.
  • Experience supporting shop floor hardware such as HMIs, scanners, label printers, industrial PCs, and production workstations.
  • Familiarity with IT service management practices, including incident, problem, change, and knowledge management.
  • Experience supporting SOX, cybersecurity, audit evidence collection, or regulated IT environments.

Core Competencies
  • Production-first mindset with strong judgment under time pressure.
  • Clear, concise communication with operations, engineering, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service orientation balanced with disciplined prioritization.
  • Ownership mindset with strong follow-through, documentation discipline, and escalation judgment.
  • Continuous improvement focus aimed at reducing recurring incidents and improving operational reliability.

Success in This Role
