Job Overview
Saronic Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineering Technician to provide hands-on technical support across our manufacturing environment. This role sits at the intersection of IT and production, ensuring that critical systems-such as Zebra printers, barcode scanners, production workstations, and manufacturing applications-operate reliably and efficiently. You will be a key partner to IT, manufacturing, and operations teams, supporting day-to-day production activities while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and uptime.
Responsibilities
  • Provide frontline and escalated support for manufacturing systems and operational technology, including Zebra printers (ZPL configuration and troubleshooting), barcode scanners, production-floor workstations and displays, shop-floor networking, and connected IoT devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and network issues impacting production, with urgency and precision to minimize downtime.
  • Act as a primary responder for manufacturing system incidents and coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts when necessary.
  • Support data-related tasks and production workflows, including basic query troubleshooting (SQL, Splunk; Python is a plus).

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in technical support, IT/OT, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with manufacturing systems (MES, PLCs, SCADA).
  • Experience with industrial label printers (Zebra, ZPL, BarTender, etc.).
  • Experience supporting production environments or shop-floor systems.

Benefits
  • Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance plans covering a range of services
  • Saronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependents
  • Dental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision care

  • Competitive Salary: Industry-standard salaries with opportunities for performance-based bonuses
  • Retirement Plan: 401(k) plan with company match
