Job description

Job Summary:
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms. They are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineering Technician to provide hands-on technical support across their manufacturing environment, ensuring that critical systems operate reliably and efficiently while driving continuous improvement in systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
• Provide frontline and escalated support for manufacturing systems and operational technology, including Zebra printers (ZPL configuration and troubleshooting), barcode scanners, production-floor workstations and displays, shop-floor networking, and connected IoT devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and network issues impacting production, with urgency and precision to minimize downtime.
• Act as a primary responder for manufacturing system incidents and coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts when necessary.
• Support data-related tasks and production workflows, including basic query troubleshooting (SQL, Splunk; Python is a plus).
Qualifications:
Required:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in technical support, IT/OT, or a similar role
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred:
• Experience with manufacturing systems (MES, PLCs, SCADA)
• Experience with industrial label printers (Zebra, ZPL, BarTender, etc.)
• Experience supporting production environments or shop-floor systems
