Machine Operator
Shift: 2nd Shift 2PM - 12AM (Mon - Thu)
Pay Rate: $22-$25/hr + Shift Differential

Summary:

  • The Machine Operator primary function is to set-up and operate affixing machinery to create a finished product that meets customer specifications and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Ability to Bend, Reach, Crawl, Twist, and lift at least 50 pound unassisted
  • Ability to Stand for long periods of time is required
  • Ability to see, hear, count, read, measure, and follow verbal directions in English
  • Ability to differentiate colors, horizonal and vertical positions
  • Ability to use fine motor skills while working on sensitive machinery
  • Ability to perform repetitive upper body motions
  • Must have color and peripheral vision

Job Functions:

  • Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion
  • Source proper materials for folding, flexo and/or affixing, laminating, etc. based on MIS Planning & Prod Specifications & job related information
  • Determine and print all needed paperwork needed for type of job and to properly complete all documentation as required
  • Follow all procedures and directions (verbal or written) required
  • Select folding & die-cutting sections to be used
  • Insert correct folding gates and blanks for fold
  • Set up feeder to fit flat sheets or folded leaflets
  • Set rollers for fold/feed or friction feed of product
  • Set fold gates to get correct quality and size of finished product
  • Install and adjust slitters or scorers if needed to complete job setup
  • Get QA sign in for job
  • Constantly monitor quality and size of finished leaflets and labels during running of product
  • Box or palletize product appropriately for next stage of production
  • Log SETUP, RUN, & CLEAR time for job processing into SFDC and machinery logs as appropriate
