Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Telemetry
SCHEDULE
- 40 hours/week, night shift (includes weekends & holidays)
- Shift patterns:
- Five 8-hour nights (11p-7a)
- Combination when covering weekends: Two 8-hour nights (11p-7a) + Two 12-hour shifts (7p-7a)
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Telemetry and cardiac monitoring / dysrhythmia recognition
- Mechanical ventilation care
- IV vasopressors and central line management
- Blood product administration
- Neurologic monitoring: EVD/ICP monitoring, neuro care skills
- Pain management/PCA, post-op/phase I PACU items
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient care and support to adult and geriatric populations in a telemetry setting.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, managing dysrhythmias as necessary.
- Administer IV medications, blood products, and perform central line management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding health management and medications.
- Participate in routine assessments and maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions and interventions.
COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Documentation required by Tuesday prior to start (no exceptions)
- Candidates must complete fingerprints immediately upon contract signing; travel time for fingerprinting may delay start
- RTO required with submission and must be built into the contract
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Current employees ineligible at any associated hospital locations
