Neurosurgical ICU Nurse Educator
Job Description
The Nurse Educator will develop and implement education and professional development services and programs for health system employees within the Neurosurgical ICU setting.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, organize, promote, implement, evaluate, and revise nursing professional development activities including orientation, precepting, transition to practice program, simulations, competency validation, computer-based learning, and continuing education courses throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a nurse planner for nursing education units accredited by the appropriate nursing standards.
  • Promote and support evidence-based practice; serve as a program administrator for nursing procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse).
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience or equivalent health teaching experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of education/training in administrative, management, and leadership principles and practices.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing and instructor certification in American Health Association disciplines.
  • 1 year of experience as a clinical nurse educator or staff development role is preferred.
Schedule
This position requires a 40-hour workweek, with variable scheduling that may include weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
