POSITION SUMMARY
Barton Malow is seeking a Project Coordinator to support active construction project operations in the Columbus, Ohio area. This is a project-based, hourly position embedded within the Project Delivery team, working alongside Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, as well as Quality and Safety professionals. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced environment. Top performers who demonstrate strong attendance and contribution may be considered for advancement and employment opportunities within Barton Malow Company. The assignment is expected to remain active through the construction phase of the project(s).
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and code invoices to appropriate cost centers.
  • Assist with self-perform labor metrics tracking and reporting.
  • Administer and maintain temporary facilities such as Parking Passes, Consumables, etc.
  • Coordinate with IT for conference room setup and technology needs.
  • Arrange travel and accommodations for project team members.
  • Process and administer expense reports.
  • Maintain and publish the project contact lists and directories.
  • Develop and maintain recurring meetings using provided information.
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Assist with document control, which may include submittals, RFIs, and project correspondence.
  • Support Safety, Quality, Subcontractor, and Engineering teams with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment for the temporary facilities.
  • Handle mail, deliveries, and site visitor coordination.
  • Assist with preparation of project reports and presentations as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with PDF editing software (Bluebeam preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a larger project team.
  • Must be local to the Columbus, Ohio area, as a project-based temporary assignment; this position does not include travel or relocation benefits.
