What You'll Do

As a Process Engineer, you will drive process improvements and operations efficiency throughout the manufacturing process in the Electronics Department. You will be responsible for working with site leaders to identify and implement continuous improvement in all areas of the site operations. Other duties include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations

  • Increase site productivity, partnering with site management team, by implementing standard work, line balancing, and removing bottlenecks. 

  • Establish baseline, develop measures/targets, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  • Align with the Business Excellence, identify and implement framework and strategy to reduce waste and improve quality, directly impacting the site costs.

  • Use technical know-how for making time studies, material/man/information flows, layouts, etc. for identifying improvements.

  • Lead and/or implement these   improvements ensuring controls in place for sustaining results. 

  • Employ hands-on approach to data collection, analysis, recommendations of opportunities, and implementation. 

  • Gather and analyze manufacturing information to provide reliable data to implement solutions to drive and align business results.

  • Introduce innovative ideas and technologies and be a change agent to effectively implement and sustain.

  • Ensure and/or support compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations

What We're Looking For:

  • BS Degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical or Robotics Engineering required.

  • 3+ years of experience from manufacturing operations

  • Computer literacy in MS Windows. Experience with SAP and Minitab, plus.

  • Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience helpful

  • Ability to independently identify process problems/opportunities, identifies root cause, and implements solutions.

  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with a variety of groups such as the maintenance team and outside contractors

  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
