Job description

Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Technician who will be responsible for providing and leading all technical and testing to support engineering, engineering labs, testing to support new product development, product improvements, design preparation, records maintenance, report writing, and other technical support. You will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for developing effective and efficient test plans and communicating the plans to various departments along with timely updates, as required
  • Work autonomously to safely set up and run tests according to the test plan
  • Build sample products, prototypes, and various test equipment utilizing the proper tools and equipment and applying the necessary safety protocols
  • Work with engineering, sales, and product managers to highlight and resolve customer issues as needed; may occasionally require customer visits to investigate and resolve
  • Manage and help to support internal and external projects requiring new or revised applications and testing
  • Provide input on experimental designs, protypes, samples, and tested projects that could improve product and/or technical information
  • Aid in the development and support of procedures and continuous improvement activities in the labs and surrounding areas
  • Assemble and maintain standard operating procedures, including safety procedures and equipment
  • Record, collect, and process data of test procedures, results, and clearly communicate numerical and graphical data in a report
  • Develop documentation of processes and experiments

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • HVAC trade school and\or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience working with Mechanical and Electronic devices
  • Must be familiar with fundamental electrical concepts and components, including wiring, circuits, and safety protocols, and assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment
  • In-depth knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC Systems is strongly preferred
  • Must have education and\or acquired knowledge of fuel oil and natural gas combustion
  • Must be familiar with project management methodologies
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, prints, process specifications and work instructions is required
  • Must have above average technical writing skills with the ability to provide concise reports identifying key data results
  • Must demonstrate understanding of thermocouples, including their types, applications, and calibration processes and apply thermocouple technology in various testing and measurement scenarios
  • Must have experience in working with data acquisition systems, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Must be proficient in integrating data acquisition equipment with other testing tools and software for accurate data collection and analysis
  • Must display proven experience in operating forklifts, including certification and adherence to safety protocols, while handling various types of forklifts and perform tasks such as loading, unloading, and transporting materials efficiently and safely
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office
