Job description

Workday Functional Consultant (Core HCM, Payroll & Recruiting)

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Remote / Hybrid)

Duration: 6-12 Months


Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of Workday functional consulting, HRIS, or Workday administration experience.
  • Deep expertise in Workday Core HCM, Payroll, and Recruiting.
  • Hands-on experience configuring business processes, security, reporting, calculated fields, condition rules, validation rules, and tenant settings.
  • Strong testing experience, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Workday certification(s) preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, security, reports, calculated fields, condition rules, validation rules, and tenant setup.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
  • Support enhancements, releases, and production issue resolution across Core HCM, Payroll, and Recruiting.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect triage, and production validation.
  • Document configurations, testing outcomes, and solution designs.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and adoption of Workday capabilities.
  • Ensure solutions align with governance, security, and data integrity standards.
