Job description

Lead UX Designer
Experience- Columbus, OH(Onsite)

Domain: Banking / Financial Services

Job Summary:
Seeking a Lead UX Designer with strong experience in enterprise UX, banking applications, and legacy/mainframe modernization. The candidate will lead UX strategy and design for transforming complex legacy systems into modern, user-friendly digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end UX design for enterprise and legacy application modernization.
  • Analyze complex mainframe/3270, COBOL, CICS, IMS, and DB2 workflows and business processes.
  • Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, information architecture, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Design data-intensive dashboards, analytics, search, and workflow applications.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and Design Thinking workshops.
  • Work closely with Product, Business, Architecture, Engineering, and QA teams.
  • Establish reusable design patterns and enterprise design systems.
  • Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and responsive design standards.
  • Mentor UX designers and present solutions to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of UX/Product Design experience.
  • 3+ years of legacy/mainframe application modernization, preferably in Banking.
  • Strong expertise in Figma, UX Research, Design Thinking, Interaction Design, IA, and Prototyping.
  • Experience with complex enterprise applications, workflows, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Strong stakeholder management and UX leadership skills.
  • Agile/Scrum/Lean UX experience.

Preferred: AI/GenAI UX, conversational interfaces, cloud migration, and enterprise design systems experience.
