Records Specialist
Location: Columbus, OH
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 40 hours
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Records Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, working independently, and maintaining accurate records in a warehouse environment. While there is some computer work and data entry involved, this is a physically active role that requires standing for extended periods, lifting boxes, and organizing stored records.
Responsibilities

  • Organize, store, retrieve, and maintain physical records and files within a warehouse environment.
  • Accurately enter and update record information in company databases and tracking systems.
  • Prepare, label, and file boxes of documents to ensure proper organization and accessibility.
  • Operate a scissor lift safely to store and retrieve records from elevated storage locations.
  • Lift, move, and transport boxes weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive documents and records.
  • Perform routine inventory checks to ensure records are stored accurately.
  • Follow established safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
  • Assist with additional warehouse and records management tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous records management, warehouse, inventory, data entry, or document management experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable working at heights using a scissor lift (training provided if applicable).
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to accuracy.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and moving of boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including a scissor lift.
