Duties 50% Collect, sort, process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including weighing, metering, labeling and packaging. Coordinate with vendor (Pitney Bowes) to perform routine maintenance on the mail machine.

Maintain inventory of mail room supplies such as envelopes, certified mail materials, ink, postage tape, and other essential items. Stay current on United States Postal Service (USPS) pricing, shipping guidelines, and procedural updates. 25% Provide accounts payable/accounts receivable support by reviewing ticket management system entries, processing new vendor paperwork, processing invoices, requesting purchase orders, and pulling monthly mail reports in order to invoice appropriate county departments, record transactions and deposit monies.

Assist with special fiscal related projects. 25% Assist with responding to public records requests, understanding applicable laws, procedures, and documentation requirements. Provide back-up coverage when primary records clerk is unavailable by providing strong customer service to both internal and external customers.

Assist in the coordination, movement, organization and long-term storage of physical and electronic records. Ability to schedule and set up for meeting requests. Assist with special records related projects.

Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1-2 years of experience in mail services, courier services, clerical work, or a related field preferred. Supplemental Information KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) including postage machines, scanners, copiers and computers. Familiarity with applicable local, state, or federal laws and administrative procedures

Knowledge of mail handling procedures and postal regulations Strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift and carry mail trays, boxes, and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach frequently throughout the workday Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly during delivery routes. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
