Job description

Pay & Shifts

2nd Shift  3:00pm - 11:30pm, Mon-Fri      $24/hr  (+$2 shift differential)

3rd Shift  11:00pm-7:30am, Sun-Fri      $24/hr  (+$2 shift differential)

Overtime: Occasional OT may be required based on production needs.

Your Recruiter will let you know which shifts are available at the time of your interview.

The role

You run the equipment that turns raw ingredients into formula - mixers, heat treatment systems, and spray dryers. Technical, computer-interfaced, and documentation-heavy. If something is off here, everything downstream is affected.

What you'll do every shift

  • Operate industrial mixers, homogenizers, heat treatment systems, and spray dryers via HMI controls
  • Manage and document bulk ingredient blending, heat treatment, and controlled batch weighing
  • Operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems
  • Perform CIP, Clean-Out-of-Place (COP), and routine sanitation per SOP
  • Complete all batch records and electronic documentation in real time per GDP
  • Work cross-functionally with quality, warehouse, and canning as needed

A good fit if...

  • You've worked in food processing, pharma manufacturing, or another technical production environment
  • You're comfortable with computer screens and data entry - HMI interfaces are part of every shift
  • You stay calm and methodical when multiple systems need attention at once
  • You have no manufacturing background but you're technically minded, precise, and treat documentation as seriously as the physical work

What the processing floor is actually like

  • Warm in places - heat treatment and spray drying equipment generates heat; temperature varies by zone
  • Technical - you're reading screens and managing process data alongside the physical operation
  • Documentation-intensive - a missed entry in a batch record is a nonconformance, not a minor oversight
  • Physical - moving between equipment stations and handling ingredient bags up to 60 lbs throughout the shift

Shift preference

All three shifts are available. When you apply, rank your shift preference. We'll match you based on availability and what works for both of us. Being open to more than one shift means a faster offer.

  • 3rd shift - permanent overnight (not a rotation), $2/hr more, best if you naturally run on a night schedule

What we need from you

  • Available every scheduled shift - we use a point-based attendance system; exceeding the threshold is a separation event
  • On your feet 8-10 hours and lifting up to 60 lbs repeatedly - this is physically demanding work, every shift
  • Comfortable following written SOPs and completing batch records accurately in real time
  • Able to meet GMP requirements: hair net, no jewelry, no nail polish, no fragrances, dedicated footwear - every shift
  • Manufacturing experience preferred (food, beverage, pharma, military, trades) - we will train the right person

The honest picture: Regulated infant formula facility. FDA inspects. Concrete floors, loud equipment, continuous production. You gown in every shift - hair net, no jewelry, no nail polish, no fragrances, dedicated footwear. No phone on the floor.

If consistent attendance is a challenge right now, this role isn't the right fit - and that's okay to know before you apply.

Why Bobbie

We're a parent-founded company that makes organic infant formula in the US. We opened our Heath, Ohio facility because we believe families deserve to know who makes their baby's food and how. The people on our production floor are the reason every can meets the standard.

  • Work that matters - you're making infant formula that families count on
  • Competitive pay with shift differential on 2nd and 3rd shift
  • We promote from within and invest in people who invest in us

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision - 100% covered by Bobbie for you, with subsidized options to add dependents
  • 401(k) with match
  • 15 paid days off + 10 paid company holidays
  • Boot reimbursement
  • Subsidized meals and snacks provided on-site
  • One-year subscription to Bobbie or Baby's Only formula
