Job Summary:
The Processing Lead plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the egg processing department at Trillium Farms. This position supervises and coordinates the efficient washing, grading, and packaging of eggs while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety protocols. The Processing Lead works closely with the team to ensure smooth operations and consistent product quality.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Team Supervision: Lead a team of processing employees, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate task completion. Offer on-the-job training as needed.
  • Task Assignment: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to meet daily production goals. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to stay on track.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control measures to maintain high standards of egg quality. Conduct regular inspections and intervene in case of any quality concerns.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations within the processing department. Promote a safety-conscious culture among team members.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate processing equipment such as egg washers, graders, and packaging machines, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.
  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Oversee cleaning and sanitization practices to maintain a hygienic environment. Ensure all equipment and work areas are regularly sanitized.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with monitoring inventory levels of packaging materials, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items. Notify the Processing Manager of any replenishment needs.
