Summary
The Director of Process Improvement is responsible for evaluating, redesigning, and optimizing warehouse workflows to improve efficiency, throughput, inventory control, and operational effectiveness. This role focuses on how work moves through the warehouse and develops practical solutions that improve execution and eliminate waste.
Duties/Responsibilities
Evaluate warehouse workflows and operational processes.
Map and redesign receiving, inventory, fulfillment, and shipping processes.
Identify bottlenecks and workflow constraints.
Improve throughput and labor efficiency.
Optimize warehouse layouts and operational flow.
Develop process documentation and training materials.
Required Skills/Abilities
Workflow optimization expertise.
Strong process design and analytical skills.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution processes.
Ability to translate concepts into practical execution.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred.
7+ years of warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution experience.
Process redesign experience required.
Physical Requirements
Work throughout warehouse environments.
Travel as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May lead process improvement project teams.
No direct warehouse manager reporting responsibility.
