Transportation Customer Success Specialist

Reports to: Transportation Planner Supervisor

Department: Connect+ Transportation Planning

Job Status: Full-Time / Salary

Position Summary: The Transportation Customer Success Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our customer's experience is positive and timely by scheduling all shipments with all our retailers, communities, and other destinations, prioritizing customer expectations, and entering data into our TMS and clearly communicating the scheduling with the Private Fleet Driver Supervisors and Partner Carriers.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manages large numbers of incoming and outgoing calls to all our retail, independent, and community customers.
  • Schedules shipments with end customers efficiently and effectively.
  • Resolves transportation issues by clarifying transportation rules, regulations, and policies; determines the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to resolve the issue; expediting correction or adjustment; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Handles customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; and follows up to ensure resolution. Will be responsible for problem solving and resolving issues with management at our Retail Centers and customers.
  • Keeps records of customer interactions, process customer data, and file documents.
  • Coordinates and communicates service requirements of customers effectively, accurately, and timely.
  • Goes the extra mile by inquiring about service requests to ensure one-trip service completion.
  • Maintain physical and electronic records effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, Supply Chain or Logistics Management or 3 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in customer care coordination / administration.
  • Experience with Transportation management systems, preferably Oracle
  • Customer First Mindset
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in AS-400 and MS Office Products, including Excel and Outlook email organization
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Must be well organized and able to effectively manage time.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
  • Work primarily involves sitting / standing.

Travel Requirements:

  • As needed, up to 25%
