Library Consultant

The State Library of Ohio invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of SearchOhio Library Consultant to be located in either Columbus, OH or Caldwell, OH. This position includes responsibilities related to training library staff on the SearchOhio platform and procedures, utilizing knowledge of multiple integrated library systems. Time will be spent working with vendors, coordinating system enhancements, and supporting system upgrades. Planning, prioritizing, evaluating, and organizing statewide resource sharing activities will also be a priority.

Qualifications: Master's degree in library science from accredited college or university; 12 mos. exp. in library science position performing budgeting & project management tasks or in management &/or administration; 5 yrs. exp. in library science position. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment may be substituted for the experience requirement. Job Skills: Library Services Supplemental Information This position is unclassified per ORC 124.11(A)(7)(b) and as such, serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.
