Perma-Pipe in Hebron, OH is looking for Shop Utility Technicians (Entry Level Helper)
The Shop Utility Technician (Entry Level Helper) supports our fabrication and production operations. This is an entry-level, hands-on role designed for individuals who are dependable, safety-focused, and eager to work in an industrial manufacturing environment. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
This position supports skilled trades such as welding and fabrication by assisting with material handling, basic production tasks, and maintaining clean, organized work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
The role is situated in Hebron, OH and is not a remote or hybrid position.

Essential Job Functions
Production & Shop Support
  • Assist welders, fabricators, and machine operators with daily shop activities.
  • Support basic fabrication tasks including measuring, cutting, grinding, and deburring materials.
  • Read and follow work orders and basic blueprints to support production accuracy.

Material Handling & Logistics
  • Transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Use hand tools and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist with staging and organizing materials to support workflow.

Housekeeping & Organization
  • Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning work areas and removing scrap.
  • Maintain organized workspaces and ensure tools and materials are properly stored.

Equipment Use & Safety
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools in accordance with company standards.
  • Observe equipment operation and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments is a plus (not required).
  • Basic math skills, including measurement and conversions.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or production instructions.
