Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking Full-time and Part-time Utility Aides to join our dining department team.

About the Utility Aide Position:
Under the supervision of the cook's supervisor, the Utility worker cleans dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and silver by hand or machine. The Utility Aide is responsible for assuring the dishwasher is maintained, changing the water, and cleaning frequently. The Utility Worker will also fill out dish temperature logs, transports tableware to proper places in dining rooms and kitchen, and clean work areas. He or she may assist in cutting, peeling, and washing fruits and vegetables for Cooks, pushcarts into various dining areas, and set food on steam tables. The Utility Aide is responsible for garbage removal from the kitchen areas and sweeping, mopping, and hosing down floors thoroughly at the end of the evening shift.

Job Requirements:
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in the English Language
Must be able to operate the dishwashing machine and any other equipment required to do the job.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk short distances for most of the shift. Stooping, reaching for, pushing, lifting/carrying, and stacking supplies frequently.
Must be able to withstand temperature changes when going in and out of refrigeration/freezer walk-ins
Strong customer service skills desired and an interest in working for the elderly.
