Job description

The Village at Penn State, located in State College, PA, is one of the area's premier independent living communities, has an exciting opportunity forPart Time Dishwasher/Utility Aide positions.
Schedule Details
  • Part Time
  • 4:30pm - 9:00pm

Job Responsibilities:
  • Must be in proper uniform, clocked in, and ready to work at scheduled time; follow outlined daily and weekly cleaning schedules; operate dish machine by standard procedures; operate three-compartment pot sink by standard guidelines; presoak all dirty silverware; inspect all stemware for cleanliness and to ensure that they are spot free; change water in dish machine and pot sink as necessary; transport all clean small wares to their proper storage place; properly dispose of all garbage and cardboard boxes; keep all equipment clean and polished.
  • Transport all clean small wares to their proper storage place; assist chef in washing, peeling, cutting of food; sweep and mop all hard floor surfaces during shift; clean up all spills on hard floor surfaces; discard broken and chipped glass and flatware after showing to supervisor.
  • Keep all storage facilities clean and organized; follow all scheduled cleaning assignments.
  • Inform Sous Chef or their designee of any janitorial items needed to complete job.
  • Must be educated on HACCP principles and follow these guidelines daily in storage and sanitation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by authorized personnel such as filling in as a server, bus person, cook prep, or cook.

  • High school graduate or GED preferred
