Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
As an entry-level Utility Sales Representative, the primary goal is to provide relief support to our sales team while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the beverage distribution industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to develop their sales skills and build a career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Support Sales Representatives: Assist sales reps in managing their territories by covering for them during absences and helping to meet sales targets. Stock, organize, and rotate products according to the Maletis Beverage Rotation Standards.
  • Order Processing: Process orders accurately and efficiently to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service.
  • Product Knowledge: Learn about the diverse range of beverages we offer to effectively communicate and sell to customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and achieve common goals. Provide accurate, timely follow-up recaps to sales reps ensuring seamless service to accounts.
  • All other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position will receive direction, supervision, and regular performance evaluations from the Sales Training and Customer Support Manager.
SUPERVISION EXCERCISED
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee is expected to work at least eight hours a day, five days a week (Monday through Friday) and must be available during scheduled work hours. Occasional overtime or work outside normal business hours may be required for account functions or as other job duties demand.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (WITH OR WITHOUT ACCOMMODATION)
  • Ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Capable of lifting or moving kegs that weigh up to 165 pounds.
  • Ability to repetitively push, pull, and lift cases of product ranging from 10-50 pounds from the floor to overhead.
  • Occasionally push/pull two kegs (340 pounds) on a two-wheeler hand truck.
  • Must have close visual acuity to perform tasks such as analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer screen.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid driver's license (Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed).
  • Auto Insurance coverage which meets Company policy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word).
  • Ability to understand and read invoices, load sheets, job orders, installation instructions and calculate simple math functions.
  • Work with minimal supervision, ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and be attentive to details.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and present information.
