Job description
House Manager
Schedule: Full-Time. Sunday- Thursday, 2nd shift
Location: Columbus, OH
Lead a Home. Develop a Team. Create Lasting Impact.
At Ability Matters, we support individuals with autism and other neurological disabilities in building independence, confidence, and meaningful lives in their communities. We are not a home health agency. We are a community inclusion organization.Â
As a House Manager, you'll lead a team dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging home. You'll coach and develop staff, foster a positive team culture, strengthen relationships with families, and ensure every individual receives exceptional, person-centered support.
What You'll Do
Lead Residential Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring services are safe, person-centered, and aligned with each individual's goals.
Develop & Support Your Team: Coach, mentor, and supervise Direct Support Professionals while building a positive, accountable team culture.
Ensure Quality: Monitor documentation, incidents, billing, and regulatory requirements.
Champion Individual Success: Ensure Service Plans are implemented consistently while promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
Manage the Home: Oversee household budgets, maintenance, supplies, scheduling needs, and daily operations to create a safe, welcoming environment.
Build Strong Partnerships: Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, support teams, and leadership to deliver person-centered services.

Qualifications
High school diploma required (Bachelor's preferred)
Two years supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
Leadership experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Evening, weekend, and emergency availability
