Attorney Labor & Employment Law - Delaware, OH Attorney Lawyer Insurance Company Litigation Policy Development Transaction _. Provide legal services and counsel to Claims, Policy Development, Risk Management and other departments of major insurance company regarding labor and employment matters. Activities: • Provide advice and counsel to internal and external clients on employment-related matters, including hiring and termination issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, reasonable accommodations, leaves of absence, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants and their enforcement, and employee investigations. • Assist in drafting and enforcement of policies and procedures related to compliance with domestic and international laws, regulations, and legal standards. • Regularly advise on leave management, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, FCRA, Title VII, ADEA, USERRA, NLRA, and other labor and employment legal obligations. • Provide legal guidance and support on pension, 401(k), medical benefit plans (ERISA), and other compensation & benefits matters. • Advise on workers compensations matters. • Represent clients in mediations with employees and negotiate settlement agreements, review involuntary terminations, and draft separation packages. • Prepare position statements and responses to inquiries, audits, and investigations of clients by federal (EEOC, DOL, OSHA), state, and local agencies including. • Research and advise on emerging legislative and regulatory changes affecting employment and labor obligations. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. • Licensed member of the Bar.
