Job description

**Seeking individuals who have Ophthalmology experience**

What You'll Do:

Contingent

  • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver specialized patient care.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient care delivery.
  • Provide one-on-one patient care immediately following ophthalmic surgeries until discharge criteria are met.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by actively participating in patient care and providing exceptional clinical and emotional support.

What You'll Bring:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Previous experience in Operating Room (OR) and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) preferred, especially in Ophthalmology.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn and work in all perioperative areas including Outpatient Surgery, OR, PACU, and Endoscopy.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.
  • Ability to participate in on-call duties with a response time of less than 45 minutes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedication to teamwork and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Adherence to professional standards and ethical principles in nursing practice.
