Outpatient RN - Infusion (Contingent/IRP)

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patients involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization. The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.

The Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Minimum Education Required:

  • 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Current Ohio licensure or interim permit. Previous surgical center experience preferred.

Our non-oncology infusion clinics specialize in administering supportive infusions and injections to patients across the enterprise. This is a fast-paced, high-volume unit with great teamwork, staff engagement, and patient experience. The IRP RN is expected to work at least 2-3 weekend shifts at our weekend clinics. In addition, this position will be expected to work at least 1 shift per work week and may require floating to any of the five core clinics throughout Columbus.
