Job description

What You’ll Do:
As a Marketing Strategist, you will own and lead the marketing strategy and execution for a defined portfolio of assets, including conventional, student housing, and new development communities. Your role will require you to tailor marketing plans that reflect each asset’s unique market dynamics, audience preferences, and business goals.
This highly strategic role blends data-driven decision-making with creative execution and cross-functional leadership. You will serve as the subject matter expert across your portfolio—analyzing marketing performance, guiding campaign execution, and acting as a key liaison between the marketing department and property operations. At times, this role may also include direct oversight of junior team members.
Where You’ll Work:
Located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, our corporate offices overlook the Columbus Commons which plays hosts to over 200 events throughout the year. Enjoy the building’s fitness center and rooftop terrace with adjoining clubroom, and walk to some of the city’s best restaurants and downtown amenities.
What You’ll Own:
  • Own and lead the marketing strategy and execution for a portfolio of assets, including conventional, student housing, and new development communities.
  • Tailor marketing initiatives based on market research, audience insights, asset performance, and business objectives.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for your portfolio—analyzing performance across branding, advertising, digital presence, social media, and marketing spend to inform strategy.
  • Develop and execute holistic marketing strategies that drive leasing velocity, elevate brand awareness, and maximize ROI.
  • Lead marketing campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with brand identity, property goals, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with creative, digital, and operational teams to bring strategy to life through seamless execution.
  • Act as the primary strategic partner and liaison to property operations teams and key internal stakeholders, managing communications, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Leverage project management tools to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Develop KPIs to measure success and provide regular reporting on campaign and portfolio-level marketing performance.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing strategy, with a focus on multifamily housing or real estate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills for market research, consumer insights, and campaign performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Who You Are:
  • A creative thinker. You can take a project from ideation to completion. You take creative direction as well as work independently.
  • A masterful executor. You get things done. You fervently plan to meet deadlines and achieve goals. You manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You shift priorities and objectives as the business needs change. You have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A detail-oriented individual. You pay attention to the small things that make a big difference. You look at information with a discerning eye to ensure its accuracy. You understand the importance of editing and proofreading your work to ensure it's done right and keep your work organized.
  • An innovator. You stay on top of the latest industry trends and communicate what may be most applicable and beneficial for the company.
