We are seeking a data-driven, Lifecyle Marketing Strategist to guide our customer acquisition and upsell efforts. This role will be based in Louisville, KY and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role is responsible for understanding how leads come into the sales funnel, identifying high-value prospects, defining nurture strategy, and optimizing conversion for Mercer's Career Products business. You will be responsible for building the bridge between marketing curiosity and sales conversion by leveraging response and purchase data to create sophisticated, segmented customer journeys and campaigns.
We will count on you to:
  • Act as the marketing strategy lead for our nurture campaigns, working with the execution team on data hygiene, lead routing rules, and the integration between sales and marketing activities.
  • Formulate and execute test strategies to move leads through the sales funnel and optimize conversion and close rates.
  • Provide creative direction for asset development (content, offers, ads/emails, landing pages)
  • Take initiative to evaluate campaign effectiveness in partnership with data analytics team for continuous performance optimization
  • Collaborate with internal partners to understand priorities, identify opportunities, and integrate into broader marketing strategy
  • Prioritize high-intent prospects, ensuring the sales team focuses their energy on the most impactful leads.
  • Create personalized, high-touch nurturing workflows that move leads from awareness to conversion using various media channels.
  • Partner with marketing operations to design and build automated journeys using Microsoft Dynamics, optimizing platform capabilities for segmentation, personalization and performance.

What you need to have:
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
  • Proven ability to map out a customer journey from first touch to final sale.
  • Deep understanding of audience segmentation and behavioral triggers
  • Problem solving, analytical and verbal/written communication skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and equal ability to work collaboratively with a team, cross-functionally, and with senior leadership
  • Comfort in leveraging analytics and performance metrics to make decisions
