Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations on patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through both standardized assessments and observational insights.
  • Design individualized treatment plans focusing on immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver specialized speech therapy interventions, prioritizing areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources for patients and families to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout their healing journey.
  • Adhere to an accurate and prompt documentation process as per state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Commit to continual learning by staying abreast of field advancements through ongoing education and peer interactions.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you're in the process of obtaining ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
