Job description

A charming family is seeking a reliable and engaging caregiver to provide part-time care for their 10-year-old autistic child. The child is happy, well-behaved, and thrives with consistent routines and positive guidance.

Schedule:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM (flexibility available)

Location:

  • 43015 (Central Ohio area)

Child Profile:

  • 10-year-old autistic child
  • Communicates using short answers rather than conversational speech
  • Requires gentle guidance and advance warnings during transitions
  • Working on sentence development and conversational skills

Care Responsibilities:

  • Engage the child in developmentally appropriate activities (play, reading, building, sensory toys)
  • Support communication and language development through modeling and interaction
  • Assist with smooth transitions between activities
  • Supervise indoor and outdoor activities, including walks
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Dependable, patient, and attentive caregiver
  • Experience with autism or neurodivergent children preferred
