Assistant Teacher

Full-Time

Child Development Center

The Child Development Center at Baptist Health Lexington provides a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children of employees. Our program offers age-appropriate learning experiences, structured activities, and compassionate care designed to support each child's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Through strong communication with families and a commitment to excellence, the center promotes a positive and enriching experience for every child in our care.

Assists with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities while providing a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment that supports children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Provides transportation for children as needed.

Job Description:

  • Supports appropriate age-lesson planning and activities based on children's developmental needs.

  • Maintains classroom supplies, attendance, required forms, and training documentation.

  • Communicates positively and professionally with children, families, and staff.

  • Maintains a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.

  • Encourages independence, exploration, play-based learning, language development, and positive social-emotional growth.

  • Use developmentally appropriate guidance and conflict-resolution strategies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • One Year job related experience
