Where does a medical examiner work?

A medical examiner, forensic pathologist, and anatomic pathology professional all do similar work. Although they bear different job titles, each one examines cadavers to determine the cause of death. They work for government agencies, medical schools, morgues, and hospitals. Off-site work is often required for medical examiners, including travel to provide testimony in courtrooms, consult with CSI examiners at police stations or crime scenes, and advise on abnormal autopsy findings in laboratories.
