Where does a gas controller work?

Career: Gas Controller

A gas controller works at gas plants and oil refineries. At a gas plant, you work with different control departments to plan and ensure the completion of scheduled changes. You work with pipeline operators to maximize throughput, especially during equipment or pipeline failures. You also help field personnel with troubleshooting equipment and communications. Some of these tasks require travel, and many are done within an office or at the plant. At an oil refinery, you complete similar functions that are related to petroleum-refining operations. You are assigned to one facility or can move between different plants within a specific geographic area.
