Where do sonographers work?

Career: Sonographer

Sonographers use diagnostic medical equipment to perform ultrasounds on patients. Sonographers generally work in hospitals, medical schools, clinics, and medical facilities. Since they frequently perform ultrasounds on pregnant women to check on fetal health and progress, sonographers can often find employment in birthing centers and gynecological/obstetric doctors’ offices. Sonographers are also commonly employed in medical and diagnostic laboratories, applying their knowledge of imaging analysis to diagnostic lab testing.
