Where do senior pastors work?

Senior pastors work in the church that they have been assigned to or volunteered to work. They will prepare their sermons, lesson plans, and community activities in an office. They work outside the church in the community; this can range from serving meals in homeless shelters or soup kitchens to visiting hospitals and prisons. Since serving as a senior pastor is not a traditional job, their hours extend beyond 9 to 5, and will serve their congregation when they are needed.
