Where do private chefs work?

Career: Private Chef

Private chefs work in the home kitchens of their clients. Traditionally, private chefs are live-in service workers who live at their employer’s home and prepare all, or most, of the food. However, some private chefs work through agencies and may visit clients’ homes a few times per month to prepare several meals for clients to heat and eat later. A private chef’s responsibilities can include grocery shopping, food and meal prep, and kitchen cleanup and sanitation.
