Where do physicists work?

Career: Physics

Physicists work in a variety of settings. Some physicists are professors, and they work at colleges or universities where they perform research and teach other physicists. Others work at national research labs, such as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA, CERN, or the Lawrence Livermore Labs. Those who observe the night sky are often traveling to locations with large telescopic or radio observatories where they collect data for analysis. Some physicists work in industry, developing complex computational and mathematical models for investment banking or manufacturing.
