Where do Nurse PRNs work?

Career: Nurse PRN

Nurse PRNs typically work for a medical staffing agency, but some can work for an individual hospital. Your job is to fill in for regular nurses when they are out sick or when there is a severe staffing shortage. Nurse PRNs that work for a hospital are often placed in a pool of similar nurses to be called upon at need. If you work for a staffing agency, you may float from one hospital to another. Working for an agency can sometimes result in better pay, but you may not have as much job stability. Nurse PRNs also work in home health, traveling to homebound patients and administering care.
