Where do newscast directors work?

Most newscast directors work at a television network, typically in a control room overlooking the news floor. With the popularity of the Internet, you may find a newscast director job with a web-based newspaper. In this version of the job, you work primarily with videos that find their way onto the paper's website. You do not work as much with live television as you do with editing and overall production quality.
