Where do lawyers work?

Career: Lawyer

With the many regulations governing most industries, a lawyer’s expertise is needed in virtually every organization. Law firms are the most common place you find attorneys, but many companies hire legal counsel to be on their staff or on a contract basis. Government agencies also typically have attorneys on hand to ensure projects and decisions meet all statutory criteria. A lawyer may not only practice law, but they may also choose to become legal consultants for corporations, professors for undergraduate or law schools, or they may decide to use their legal expertise to create new products, such as legal software or legal paperwork organizational applications.
