Where do interior designers work?

Interior designers can work just about anywhere the project takes them. For residential projects, you travel to the home site to meet with the client. You evaluate the available space and discuss the various options available. A similar process can take place for commercial spaces too. In this role, you may have to look at multiple floor or locations of a commercial building. After assessing the space in either scenario, you go back to your own office to put together design options based on the client preference. You can either work in a home office or for a design firm.
