Where do instrumentation fitters work?

Career: Instrumentation Fitter

Instrument fitters can work at power stations, manufacturing plants, hospitals, laboratories, and more, depending on the industry in which they work. You may work side-by-side with other positions in a given industry. For example, in laboratories, scientists work closely with instrumentation fitters to ensure results from tests and measurements are accurate. Since you work close by the individuals who are using the equipment you install, you must be able to work as a team and explain what you are doing clearly and concisely. You also need to take constructive criticism well.
