Where do health psychologists work?

Health psychologists can work in a variety of environments depending on their specialty area. Those that perform clinical typically work in a private practice, an independent office, or even a hospital. The emphasis on how the physical and mental correlate means hospital work is common. However, if you choose to focus on research or public policy over clinical, you might work in a laboratory or simply an office. The most common employers include hospitals, health care clinics, research universities, and government agencies.
