Where do forensic engineers work?

Career: Forensic Engineer

Forensic engineers work in a wide variety of fields and industries. They are often employed by third-party firms who hire them out on a contract basis to conduct investigations in product and material failures. As a forensic engineer, you may go to a factory, medical facility, warehouse, food storage or production facility, laboratory, or any other facility in which a product, material, or machine has failed due to design flaws. You conduct a thorough investigation into why the accident or failure occurred and help develop protocols to prevent future issues.
