Where do flaggers work?

Flaggers can work in a variety of settings. If you work as a construction flagger, you may work at construction sites, but companies more often use flaggers on road repair projects. This may include working in harsh conditions, like extremely high or low temperatures. Flaggers for special events, such as concerts or festivals, usually parking lots or at the entrance to the lot. In this role, you direct traffic, so you may work in the road as well. Aircraft flaggers work at commercial airports, military airstrips, and aircraft carriers. Railroad flaggers work in depots, switching stations, or on the tracks.
