Where do field inspectors work?

Career: Field Inspector

As a field inspector, you may work from a central office at a field services company or a branch office of an insurance agency, bank, or mortgage lender. However, if you’re an independent contractor, your central hub is likely a home office. Much of your work as a field inspector involves travel around a particular region. You must visit properties to collect data, take photographs, and, on occasion, provide basic maintenance like winterization to protect the property value. You must also visit halls of public records to conduct research.
