Though they can work from anywhere with the proper facilities, Fashion Designers typically aim to live and work in the major fashion capitals of the world, such as New York, London, and Paris. Designers may work independently, or work for wholesalers, manufacturers or design firms. Most designers work in an open office setting that allows for spreading out fabrics and cutting patterns.
