Where do excavator operators work?

Excavator operators work primarily on construction sites. You can work in nearly all types of weather conditions, so you should be prepared to be out in potentially harsh elements. While heavy rain or snow can impede the work day, you can expect to work through extreme temperatures. Construction sites can be dirty and loud, so you should be prepared to deal with these as part of your daily work. Some construction work, such as highway construction or repair and infrastructure projects, take place in remote locations, so you may have to travel or be away from home for work.
