Where do entry level chemical engineers work?

Entry-level chemical engineers work in a wide variety of industries, giving them several options for employment. According to Rice University, there are some broad industrial categories that employ these workers. These include industries specializing in advanced materials (aerospace, glass, or metal), biotechnology, chemical process, design and construction, electronics, energy and fuels, environmental safety, and food. Chemical engineers generally conduct their research and experiments in laboratories, though some may oversee production and monitor machinery in warehouses. Upper-level chemical engineers or those who are consultants may complete much of their administrative work in an office setting.
